A family face being evicted from their home after a blunder by a community housing scheme.
Debbie Hall, of Leinster Road, Laindon, is furious with the Basildon Community Housing Association after it messed up her bid to buy her home.
The 32-year-old office worker, her partner Roy Fisher and their two-year-old daughter Ashleigh have been told to move out of their three-bedroom semi by July 19.
Debbie explained that they moved into the house, which is owned by the BCHA, to get out of Somercotes on the Five Links estate 15 months ago.
She said: "BCHA run this shared ownership scheme where you buy half the house and rent the other half from them.
"We wanted to do this as we wanted to buy our own property and thought everything would be OK.
"We had a mortgage agreed for £35,000 with Nationwide and were just waiting for a reference from the BCHA so the mortage could go through.
"We have just hit snag after snag with the BCHA and it has not got round to giving us the reference.
"It has now sent us a letter saying if we do not buy our half of the house we will be kicked out on July 19.
"We have been trying to buy the house. It is the BCHA which is holding us up and now it wants us out."
No-one was available for comment at the housing association.
