Richard Milton finished an excellent 71st in the Inter Counties Fell Running Championships, on Saturday in Derbyshire.
He led home the Essex team which also included fellow Springfield Strider, Pat O'Connor who was pleased with his 108th placing.
Andrew Mason was also in Derbyshire, competing in the White Peak Marathon, a 26.2 mile course following disused railway tracks.
On Sunday thirty three Striders took part in the Baddow 10. Most prominent of the yellow and white vests was Vic Spain who broke the hour for the first time.
Rob Rodie had an excellent result and there were good runs from Richard McHale and Julian Catmull. Liz Turk made a welcome return to racing with a fine time of 1.14.01.
