Police were today hunting a knifeman who attacked a social worker in Colchester.
The social worker was visiting a woman client in Rowhedge Road yesterday when the attack happened.
As he went inside the house, he was confronted by a man angrily wielding a knife. The social worker was attacked but managed to defend himself with a chair.
He was not hurt but was shocked and badly shaken by the incident.
Police were today carrying out inquiries in a bid to trace the suspect.
