A wealth of family entertainment has been lined up for the 11th Chelmsford Spectacular.
Medieval merriment will be the theme as the August Bank Holiday event coincides with the 800th birthday celebrations of the town gaining its market charter.
Among the acts on the bill are the international award-winning New Arts Circus with The Invisible Men, Blunder Fudge and Heir Insanity with their giant inflatable lotus flower.
Family fun will also be on the cards in the Thompsons Cabaret tent, The High Chelmer Jazz Tent and also outrageous street entertainment.
And to top the fun-filled day, guests on Sunday can sway to the sounds of the London Philharmonic Orchestra with star guest Jane McDonald while on Monday Abba tribute band Bjorn Again, among others, will be serenading survivors of the medieval arena.
Tickets are already available for both days with tickets priced at advance price of £13.50 (£10 concs) for Sunday and £10 (£7 concs) for Monday.
Tickets can be booked on the Box Office number on 01245 606505.
