A bronze plaque made in Braintree now takes pride of place in the Tibetan Peace Garden in London.
The two-metre wide plaque was unveiled at the garden by the Buddhist leader of Tibet, the Dalai Lama, at a ceremony yesterday (Thursday).
Industrial design company Finch Seaman, of the Springwood Industrial Estate, made the plaque which features Buddhist inscriptions.
Managing director Rod Seaman said: "It was an absolutely unbelievable day." The bronze piece is called a Mandala and represents a vehicle of world peace.
