Polish star Tomasz Gollob was assured of a heroes welcome ahead of last night's Craven shield fixture against Poole Pirates (start time 7.30) after his victory in last weekend's opening Grand Prix in the Czech Republic.
Whilst many top names struggled in the monsoon conditions in Prague, the Witches star who was recovering from food poisoning excelled and with two of the remaining five rounds being held in his native Poland was in with an excellent chance of improving on his world number three ranking.
