Clearview ladies open up their programme in the Premier Division of the National Club League on Sunday.
They entertain Cardiff in their opening group match (12 noon start) and then follow up with a match the following Saturday at home to Globe in Middlesex, the match also starting at noon.
Clearview, who are previous national champions finished their group in a respectable fourth place last year to retain their status in the premier. Team manager John Tucker will be hoping to do as well, but admits the group is strong this year.
His squad includes several players from abroad with world rankings including Cecelia De Wyine from France who is ranked 490.
Nicola Woodhouse from Norfolk who played with Clearview last year is back again as is Charlotte Wallace from Devon.
Amanda Brown and Lara Naqushbandi both members of the Essex ladies team are in the squad.
Laure Bonneru from France is a teacher locally and plays at Clearview and is also available for selection.
The other matches in the group are: Sunday May 23, away to Cumerland; Monday May 24, home to Loughborough; Wednesday May 26, away to Edgbaston.
Clearview mens team are into the semi finals of the Essex Senior Cup after beating Cranston Park by a narrow margin.
Gavin Bradford and Lee Belchambers won their two matches while Gordon Armstrong and Jack Stammers lost their two.
With the tie level on rubbers and sets it was decided with Bradford and Armstrong winning the tie break set.
The mens thirds made it to the semi-final of their Essex Junior Cup with a 3-1 win over Whitehall.
The team was Jack Stammers and Lee Belchamber, Matthew Kennison and Gary Lewis.
The ladies seconds won their Junior Cup quarter final against Westcliff Lawn 3-1 with the team Laura Bain, Kelly Philebrown, Catherine Norman and Sue Cooper.
Both the Essex boys and girls teams were relegated from their groups in the LTA 13 & Under Inter County Cup.
The boys defending the national title they won last year were in Group One at Bath but finished in third place and relegated on a games countback.
They drew their opening match with Surrey 3-3 (six sets all) but lost on a games countback.
They lost 4-2 to Leicestershire but beat Norfolk 5-1 but it was not enough to save them.
Gidea Park's Ben Higgins won his singles and doubles matches in the Surrey encounter.
In the Leicestershire match he lost his singles but won the doubles.
For the final match Ben did not play singles but won his doubles.
The rest of the team was Jagdev Sagoo, Richard Wire, Bradley Smith, Michael O'Gara and Andrew Wilkinson.
The girls team were in action in Group Two at Sutton and were relegated.
They drew their opening match with Lincolnshire 3-3 but lost 7-8 on sets.
They then lost 1-5 against both Yorkshire and Sussex to finish in fourth place in the group.
Katie Howson and Emma Kitchen of Cranston Park both lost their singles in the Lincolnshire match, before Howson won her doubles.
Both girls failed to win another match as the team struggled against Yorkshire and Sussex.
The rest of the squad was Lauren Thompson, Lucy King and Katie Holmes.
