Motorists were caught up in a rush-hour snarl up earlier today after the second accident at Rayleigh Weir this week.
Four vehicles including a Ford Escort were involved in the minor crash at 8.10am.
One person suffered from shock and another with a possible neck injury following the accident, but no ambulance was called to the scene.
The Southend-bound carriageway of the A127 was completely blocked off at first but the road was cleared by 9am.
Vehicles that could not be driven away were initially pulled back onto a sliproad at the weir to help speed up clearing the dual carriageway.
Motorists were caught up in similar tailbacks on Monday.
Two vans and a lorry were involved in the minor crash at around 7.35am on the London-bound track of the A127 in the underpass at Rayleigh Weir, which resulted in traffic backing up to Southend. A driver was taken to Southend Hospital with head wounds.
