At traditional Scottish shop is to open in Braintree town centre creating new jobs for the town.
Up to ten jobs could be created when the Edinburgh Woollen Mill store moves into Bank Street. Bosses at the store are to recruit new staff.
News of the move is the latest job boost to Braintree, following last month's announcement that the Nescafe Cafe, based at the town's Co-op Quadrant store, would create about 12 jobs.
Plans are also in the offing to open a cut-price Aldi supermarket in the town which could lead to about 15 posts.
And hundreds of jobs will be created at the Freeport Shopping complex when it opens later this year.
A spokesman for Edinburgh Woollen Mill said it was looking to employ a mixture of full and part-time staff when the shop opens in June.
He said: "We will be advertising for staff shortly. Braintree is the ideal location for one of our shops as it is a small community
"We only open in small traditional towns and tend to avoid big shopping centres. For example, there are no stores in London at all."
The company - based in Edinburgh - will be moving into the former New Look store which moved a few weeks ago.
The company already operates a franchise from the Wyevale Garden Centre in Cressing Road but the spokesman said the shop would be different.
He said: "The High Street stores are less touristy."
Builders are working to refurbish the store ready for the opening next month. It will be one of 275 stores and franchises nationwide.
