Skaters representing the South Woodham Ferrers & Wickford Rollerspeed Skating Club competed in an international inter-club meeting hosted by RSC Wuustwezel, in Belgium, over the weekend.
The skaters were up against others from Holland, France, England and Belgium.
In the miniemen boys group, the South Woodham club, who are sponsored by Laindon company ECL Consultants Ltd, had three skaters racing in a group of 13.
The best performer was Sam Morrison who finished fifth with results of fourth, fifth, sixth and fifth from the four races over the two days.
Chris Mizen was ninth (tenth, ninth, tenth and ninth), and Billy Moore twelfth (ninth, eighth, eighth and dnr).
Chanelle Moore completed in the pupillen girls group and finished 12th out of 23 skaters with race results of 13th, 11th, 12th & 12th, having gone up a group since last year.
Gary Moore skated well to take second place in the pupillen boys category and won a splendid trophy for his efforts, having had race positions of second, third, third and second in the groups four races.
Also in this group, Jonathan Wallis finished sixth out of the fourteen competitors, with positions of fourth, eighth, seventh and seventh, and Sam Vickers 11th (dnr, 14th, 11th & 11th).
Sara Wallis found the going tough having gone up to kadetten girls this year.
She finished 18th out of 20 skaters with race results of 20th, 20th, 18th and 18th
In the kadetten boys group there was a field of 25 skaters in which Jonathan Morrison finished 15th (19th, 19th, 13th and 14th) and Michael Mizen 19th (24th, 25th, 18th and 19th).
A.J.Burton skated in the scholieren boys category.
His race positions improved race by race, enabling him to finish fourth out of 25 skaters; a good performance by one of the England Junior Squad members.
Joshua Morrison skated in the Rat Race that was held and finished a creditable third.
