Thieves have hit a series of garages in Corringham and Stanford-le-Hope in the middle of the night, once again sparking police calls for people to be vigilant.
The raids all took place on one night. In one incident a block of garages were broken into in Milton Road, Corringham, with fishing equipment among the goods taken.
A garage in nearby Howell Road was also raided, once again fishing equipment was taken as well as tools.
A mountain bike worth £250 was also stolen from a garage in Broadhope Avenue, Stanford, on the same night.
A police spokesman repeated earlier warnings for people to be vigilant and ensure garages and sheds are as secure as possible.
"Lock it or lose it," was the warning.
Anyone who has any information or believes they have seen anything suspicious should contact Corringham police on 01375 361212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
