The proud girls of Thundersley's Kingston Primary School did not shout it from the rooftops when they achieved double netball success . . . but they did the next best thing.
For they faxed the sport department of This Is Essex partner paper the Evening Echo to ask us to do a story, to mark their twin triumph.
We were happy to oblige after the girls won the district netball small schools' rally and league.
The fax was signed by all 12 members of the netball line-up: Lauren Bryan, Bethany Maycock, Katherine Lewis, Kirsty Coplestone, Kathryn Salkeld, Samantha Pask, Georgina Butt, Faye Walkinshaw, Kelby Keenan, Louise Duff, Gemma Bashlei and Kari Habbershaw.
The girls explained: "We thought it would be a good way to thank both of our netball coaches, Elaine Hodby and Ros Johnston, who have helped us to get to our success.
"We would also like to thank our parents and supporters for cheering us on."
