Chelmsford City go into their final game of the season on Saturday at Witney Town, struggling to put out a fully-fit side but with the added bonus that two more key senior players have pledged to stay with the club next season.

Both striker Ian Cambridge and goalkeeper Paul Catley have this week been offered and verbally accepted im-proved offers to remain with the club next season, while promising striker Tesfaye Bramble has signed another contract, which means that City will receive a transfer fee should he move to a Football League club during the close season.

Manager Gary Bellamy said: "I'm confident both Ian and Paul will stay and I am already looking to signing three more experienced players which, with the maturing youngsters and other seniors having agreed terms, gives us a solid base to build a title winning side for next term."

City will be without the unavailable Cambridge and Nobby Yamazaki, who has returned home to Japan for a family funeral, while injury doubts surround Daniel Reeve.

Bellamy added: "It's been a long hard season and it's now taking its toll, but we go to Witney with confidence.''
