The first East Anglian League meeting was held at Cambridge University track on Sunday.
Although the rain held off it was quite a cold day, but even so there were some good performances by Braintree & District Athletics Club members.
David Duffus was first in the Under 13 100m in 14.9s, while Luke Bearman jumped 1.53m (a personal best) for first place in U.15 boys high jump.
In the U17 boys team there were good performances from Robert McGeary, and Dan Marcello with a PB of 12.9s in the 100m and 1.60m in the high jump.
In the Junior/Senior Men's team there were first places for Leighton Green (100 and 200 meters), Dan Bartlet (PB of 6.60m in long jump), and Clint Barrett (Javelin).
For the U13 girls Kirsty Ross (14.1s) and Jenny Fraser (14.6s) had PB's in the 100m.
Poppy Rollit-Payne had an excellent first outing for the club with PB's in the 100m, 80m hurdles and 800m.
There was also an encouraging performance from Charlotte Booth in her first performance, with PB's in 100m, 200m and long jump.
Bryony Parker had a PB (13.9s) in 100m for U.15 girls and a PB (30.1s) in 200m. Jenny Hunt posted a time of 2.44.0 (PB) for 800m. Amanda Potter was first (13.0s) in 75 hurdles and Melissa Everleigh had a PB in 75m hurdles (14.9s).
In the Junior/Senior Women's age group there were good performances from everyone, with first places for Louise Wood in long jump, Amy Harvey and Claire Frame (Javelin) and PB's for Kim Skeggles (1.45m high jump) and April Dolphin (2.29.2 800m).
