Wanted - an experienced didgeridoo player to help a Colchester teenager win an award.
Lovers of the Australian instrument, made famous by Rolf Harris, are being sought by a 15-year-old Colchester boy to help him qualify for a Duke of Edinburgh award.
Rikk Bisdee, of Honywood Road, and a pupil at Philip Morant School was born in Colchester.
When he was two, he went with his parents and brother and sister to a small town in Australia where his father Andries worked as a GP and his mother Louise ran the operating theatre.
The family returned to Colchester ten years later.
Mrs Bisdee said: "Rikk bought the didgeridoo in Fremantle although at the time he played the clarinet. It is a beautiful instrument."
She said he wanted to use it in the skills section of the Duke of Edinburgh award he was doing with the school but needed someone with more experience of the instrument to be able to measure his progress.
"We are looking for someone who is a more advanced player and who could teach Rikk probably once a fortnight for as long as it takes.
"We are hoping there may be someone out there who would be able to help."
The family can be contacted on 01206 560291.
