Brilliant Bowers United are still on course for a historic clean sweep of the three Schweppes Essex Senior League trophies.
Having already won the League Cup, Bowers need three points from their last three games, starting at home to Basildon United today, to clinch the championship.
Bowers beat the New Towners 3-1 at the weekend. Last night the Pitsea-based side won through to the final of the Harry Fisher Memorial Trophy at Ilford.
Already 4-1 up from the home leg of their semi-final, Bowers triumphed 3-0 with goals from David Hope - his 42nd of the season - Steve Warner and Alan Harding.
Tony Cross's Bowers side now play Saffron Walden in the final of the competition at Barking next Monday.
