Maldon pulled off one of the shock results of the season at Trafford Park on Saturday when they beat the newly crowned champions - and it was a fully deserved victory.
Admittedly the home side were without one of two key players, but it was still an impressive performance from the Town who took the game to their hosts, Tom Noble latching on to a sloppy defender's clearance in the 15th minute to put the side ahead.
The home side did equalise in the 35th minute when John Edridge fired home a tremendous 25-yard shot but Town came back strongly looking to regain the initiative.
But two early second half goals settled the issued with Town's Danny Starling's fine goal in the 52nd minute and three minutes later Ollie Woodman, on as a substitute, adding the third after he ran through on his own without a defender near him.
The home side did rally late on and rattle the Town crossbar but by then the points were already safe and Town had completed one of the best wins ever since joining the Jewson League.
