Hutton & Shenfield junior boys team won the latest of the Essex Junior League competitions when the finals were held at Redbridge at the weekend.
Having won their group the boys then beat Great Baddow 5-1 in the semi-final.
Then in the final they beat Harlow by the same score and the successful team was Ben Gibbs, Simon Bradley, Simon Russell and Peter Edwards.
The league first started in the autumn of last year and provides competitive play for players rated in Division Seven.
This second competition started in January and ran through the last few months.
A new league is to start later this month with the finals scheduled for June. Matches consist of four one set singles and two doubles.
23 boys teams competed in five divisions.
In the girls two divisions provided competition for eight teams with Harlow taking the title with a 4-2 win over Great Baddow.
It is organised by the Development Committee of the Essex County LTA.
It was all action at the Brentwood Hard Club last week when it hosted two days of match play for players rated 7.1 or unrated.
30 youngsters took part in the competition organised by the Brentwood Hard club coach Zoe Truscott. All the players had two matches.
This weekend the club is holding a Speed Fun Day to raise funds for the St Francis Hospice.
A reminder for young would-be players that the Brentwood Lawn Tennis Club based at the Old County Ground in the centre of Brentwood isrunning a Robinson Aces Centre for 10 weeks starting on April 19.
It is open to children born in 1987 or later who are rated 7.2 or unrated.

Zoe Truscott, the Brentwood Hard Courts club coach, is taking the Essex girls 13 and under team to Sutton to compete in the LTA 13 and under Inter County Cup over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend.
They will compete in Group 2B and will meet Sussex, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
