An organisation which cares for carers is set to benefit from a cash boost.
The Rochford Crossroads Group will get a cheque for £3,723.28 from Rochford District Council chairman Graham Fox.
Crossroads was the chairman's adopted charity for his term of office and the money has been raised by a series of fundraising events and donations.
Both the council and the Rotary Club of the Rayleigh Mill organised a monochrome madness theme evening at the Mill Hall in Bellingham Lane, Rayleigh, in February which collected just under £1,000.
Labour district councillor for Great Wakering West ward, Graham Fox, will hand over the cheque to Linda Walker, chairman of the Rochford Crossroads management committee on Thursday at the Civic Suite in Hockley Road, Rayleigh.
Youngsters from the Greensward School in Hockley and the Glebe Junior School in Rayleigh will also be at the presentation as they arranged fundraising events and gave the money to the chairman's charity.
