Three of the young players from Colchester Intermediates have been selected to play for England Central in an international tournament to be held in France on the weekend of April 17-18.
The three young rollerhockey players concerned are Nick Hamilton, Craig Mitchell and Chris Thomson.
Last Sunday, Colchester Intermediates played their latest tournament in the Eastern Counties League. They managed to hold Bury to a 6-6 draw, but won a resounding victory over Ipswich (20-0), who had the disadvantage of being one man down.
However, the greatest excitement of the day came when Colchester scored 5-2 against Letchworth, the top side in the league, with Craig Mitchell and Jon Wright each scoring two goals.
They rounded off the tournament by winning 8-3 against Hatfield.
