Brightlingsea started this game with the league title already in the bag but wanting to remain undefeated.
They took the game to Norwich from the kick-off and were soon inside their 22.
In the early exchanges there was some slick handling and David Day plucked a pass off his bootlaces to score in the corner.
Brightlingsea were attacking from the kick-off again and forced Norwich to clear their line but the ball never made the touch, enabling Sean Sutton to jink and weave over the line for an excellent solo try for Brightlingsea.
Norwich then began to show some continuity in their game, Brightlingsea ran out of tacklers and gave Norwich the opportunity to score under the posts.
Brightlingsea were soon on the receiving end of another barrage from the big Norwich forwards who used a rolling maul to make another score just on half-time.
Norwich started the second half two points ahead, the game continued to be closely fought but Sean Sutton kicked two penalties to put Brightlingsea in the lead.
Brightlingsea finished the stronger of the two sides and were unlucky not to score a further try.
The man-of-the-match was Graham Williams.
