Chelmsford Swifts are hosting a major basketball event on Easter Monday (April 5) at Riverside Ice & Leisure Centre in Chelmsford.
At 2.45 pm, England Junior Women (Under 18s) take on the Holland Under 18's in an International match for the first time in this country.
After the tremendous success of the All Star day two weeks ago, when the England U18's beat Scotland U18's in an excellent game, this next encounter is eagerly awaited, especially by England coach, Michael Ball, who is keen to measure his team's progress and potential against European opposition.
Chelmsford Swifts' Louise Gamman should be playing again after her successful England debut against Scotland.
In the morning there is a coaching session with Michael Ball for a lucky group of invited local junior female basketball players.
Swifts are hoping for a sell-out crowd and in particular hope that lots of Chelmsford youngsters will take this rare opportunity to see top level women's basketball on their doorstep.
Swifts are also looking for any local businesses who would like to be associated with this event by offering some sort of sponsorship.
Any potential sponsor is invited to telephone Paul May on 01621 869492.
Tickets for the game are £4 for adults £2 for Under 16's and £10 for a family ticket (2+2) and are obtainable in advance from Paul May on the above number, or on the door on Monday.
