South Woodham Ferrers and Wickford's Rollerspeed skating club have yet again claimed top rink honours.

They picked up two championships, three second places and also had three third place winners at the last of this season's National Indoor In-Line skating series meetings at Ipswich's Roller King.

Jonathan Wallis retained his impressive 100 per cent winning record in the series with two first places from two races in the boys 6-9-years group - which made him one of only four skaters in the whole competition to achieve such a feat.

Club mate Sam Morrison won a third and second place to finish in an overall position of second on the day and Jose Chaplin grabbed third.

In the girls event at the same age level, Chanelle Moore finished third on the day with results of second and third.

Chanelle crossed the line first in the second race, but was demoted to third spot after the referee penalised her for impeding another skater.

Chloe Penman clinched two first places to win the girls 10-12-years group and finished as series group champion having been beaten only once in ten races.

Her team mate Sara Wallis achieved two second places to finish in runners-up spot on the day and second in the series. Emily Stone came third in the series.

In the boys events Gary Moore was the best South Woodham skater with two fourth places, which meant he claimed an overall placing of fourth.

A J Burton competed in the 13-15-years group races and having led for the majority of the race eventually finished fourth out of eight skaters with a final placing of third in the series.
