A beautiful spring day drew in scores of visitors to Wickford Horticultural Society's seasonal show.
Locals arrived at Wickford Junior School, in Market Road, on Saturday afternoon to view the 366 competition entries.
They included huge cauliflowers, hats inventively decorated with fresh flowers, glorious bunches of daffodils, home craft goodies and wine. Cups and trophies were presented to the top three in each class by society president Ken Phillott.
Publicity officer Iris Logan said: "It was a very successful show considering how variable the weather has been.
"We had some beautiful flowers and the judges were very complimentary about everything."
