Clacton Sailing Club held its first race of the season on March 28.
This race saw a brilliant sunshine and a gentle breeze which soon increased in strength to give the competitors a sail to sharpen their skills. As the race progressed, Paul Stanton slowly opened up a slight lead over second-placed Danny Thatcher.
However, after an hour of racing Paul finished just over a minute ahead of Danny to take the first in a series of three races for the Early Mug Trophy. Ben Adams came in third.
