Gary Waylen had a successful start to his Road Racing career at Lydden Hill circuit in Kent on Saturday.
Having had a good history in schoolboy motocross a few years ago he has been keen to find out what tarmac racing would be like.
Gary who works for Ron Parkinson Motorcycles in Marks Tey was riding a standard Kawasaki ZX6R in the Super Sports 600 series run by the British Motorcycle Racing Club.
On the day Gary had three rides finishing 11th, 9th and 7th, finding himself mixing it with more experienced riders where he was certainly not out classed despite the standard machine he was riding.
Work permitting Gary plans to enter as many of the BMCRC championship rounds as possible, with his next meeting being Easter Saturday and Sunday at Snetterton.
