Townswomen's Guild members dressed for the occasion when they marked 70 years of the formation of the movement.
The South East Essex Federation of Townswomen's Guilds was holding its annual general meeting as well as celebrating the special anniversary, with some members dressing in costumes depicting various decades throughout the 70 years.
After lunch in Runnymede Hall, Benfleet, members were treated to a talk from writer and broadcaster Nigel Rees.
