Saturday saw Burnham make the short journey to South Woodham Ferrers and returning with a fine win.

The game started with Burnham over committing men from the kick off and leaving Woodham an easy run into the corner for a try.

Burnham, however, remained calm and after the initial setback set about the task with a workmanlike attitude.

Burnham responded with a try by Andrew Murray, which was shortly followed by prop Richard Owen scoring his first try for the club.

The second half saw the match dominated by the forwards with try's from firstly Neville Murray and then Alex Knapton, with a Woodham try separating the two.

Saturday's fixture sees Burnham I travelling to Witham for their last league game of the season, while Burnham II should be away at Chelmsford IV and Burnham III at home to Witham II in a BL league game.

It will be a busy and exhausting weekend for Burnham first team who not only have an important league on Saturday but also have to play the President's XV on the Sunday.
