The owner of this wheel was today being sought by police after an off-duty officer rescued it from the clutches of two alleged thieves.
The valuable alloy wheel - believed to belong to an E or F reg Peugeot 306 GTi or 406 - is worth hundreds of pounds.
It was seized when an off duty policeman reported he had seen two young men wheeling it along in the London Road/ Leamington Road area of Leigh and suspected it was stolen.
The incident happened at around 11.15pm on March 16.
The two young men were arrested and have been bailed by police pending further inquiries.
