A man arrested by detectives hunting a serial sex attacker was due to make his first appearance in front of a judge at the Old Bailey today (Friday).
Part-time DJ Richard Baker was expected to appear at the court to face a string of 20 charges against 11 women aged between 15 and 35.
Baker, 34, of Bodmin, is charged with four counts of rape, five indecent assaults, two actual bodily harm assault charges and nine threats to kill between May and December last year.
The charges include alleged offences in Eaton Road, Leigh; Queensway, Southend, and Beedell Avenue, Westcliff.
Mr Baker was arrested by police on December 16 last year and has been in custody since.
