Airport star Jeremy Spake has been ordered to rest after a suspected stroke.
The larger-than-life Aeroflot supervisor - who shot to fame in the BBC1 docu-soap - became seriously ill as he travelled from his Great Bentley home to work at Heathrow.
He said yesterday: "Everything became rather blurred and it went on from there. It got worse at work and I was taken to the hospital nearest the airport. The doctors were fantastic."
Now Jeremy is waiting to have a scan to confirm whether or not it was a stroke.
He said: "Until we know for definite what it was, then it is difficult to say what happened. The doctors think that it was a stroke but need to confirm it.
"I have been told that it was stress-related and that I'm working too hard and trying to to do too much."
He has made countless public appearances, written a book and co-hosted television programmes since he first came to public attention.
But now he has had to put various projects on the back burner while he makes a full recovery.
"I've been told to sit back and enjoy life," said the married star.
He was travelling to the BBC studios today to put the finishing touches to his report on Miami for the Holiday programme next week.
He was sent to Miami to report on holidays at the fashionable Florida resort, and has to dub some of the film.
"It was lots of fun doing it, but there's no stress involved in what I'm doing today," he said. "I've just got to sit there and talk a lot. I'm good at that."
