Southend United chairman John Main faced angry Blues fans at a specially arranged meeting at Boots and Laces after Saturday's 0-0 draw against Exeter City.
Supporters demanded answers about the Third Division club's future following the imminent sale of Roots Hall, but left unconvinced by the Shrimpers supremo's efforts to console them.
Main spoke to concerned fans for nearly two hours and tried to convince them that the Seasiders will not become homeless following a sale and leaseback agreement on the ground which will land Southend £4 million to clear their debts.
