Rather than say it with flowers, Colin Gray chose a more dramatic way to express his feelings on Mother's Day.
Colin painted the words "I love my mum" on the side of his 8ft by 6ft trailer and drove round to his mother's house.
Mum Emily was waiting on her balcony at Eastern Esplanade, Southend, when the giant message arrived.
Colin said: "She absolutely loved it, she thought it was great and there were people cheering from the other balconies.
"I've drove around town with it all day and it was chaos with people coming up to me all the time.
"I just thought it was one way of sending her a really big greetings card!"
She's the best - Mrs Emily Gray resplendent in Mother's Day badge and loving bouquet.
