With no pair remaining undefeated on the day in the men's third division meeting on Barstable's courts, Grange, though not engaged in this fixture, were able to hold on to top place in the Basildon Badminton League.
Linden B's two wins placed them second, but they have completed their fixtures and third-placed Linden C are well-placed to overtake.
Stanford-le-Hope and East Thurrock B are still fourth and fifth, and three wins each have helped Barstable's C and B pairs to do some catching up, though they are still sixth and seventh.
East Thurrock C and Barstable D at the bottom were not engaged.
