Up and coming boy band Point Break thrilled youngsters at the Deanes School with a live show and autograph signing.
The lads were in Thundersley to endorse Childline, the phone-in counselling service offered to children across the country.
That the band chose to appear at Deanes was down to Angela Payne, a student in her final year, who saw the band performing and asked their manager if they would come along.
It was also a fundraising exercise for the school, with students paying £1.50 to watch the lunchtime performance.
All money will go towards refurbishment of the bike sheds as part of a campaign to encourage youngsters to cycle to the school.
Jane Foot, Deanes press officer, said: "We were delighted to welcome a contemporary band and everyone was looking forward to meeting Point Break.
"It was most generous of the band to give up their time to perform for our pupils. We wish them luck with their new single."
The school has many singers and musicians of its own within its successful music school.
