Chelmsford Canoe Club's Slade Warne, along with Nick Redshaw finished an excellent fifth in the World Whitewater Championships, which were held in New Zealand recently.
Representing Great Britain, Slade, Nick and Paul Anderson won the team bronze.
Anderson finished 10th in the world, after finding the technical course of the river difficult, but the trio were delighted with their overall positions.
