Former Colchester United chairman Robert Jackson is to attend Derby County's home Premiership clash with Liverpool tomorrow as part of a reunion with Layer Road old boys Jim Smith, Bobby Roberts and Ray Harford.
Jackson was at the helm when the Rams trio were part of the U's management team in the late 1970s.
He will travel to the Midlands with the U's consultant physiotherapist Ray Cole.
Derby might be on the verge of a UEFA Cup place, but manager Smith is concerned about his star striker's form.
Paulo Wanchope has failed to hit the net since January 9 at Wimbledon and has scored just six times all season.
But Smith insists the Costa Rican international will come good when Liverpool visit Pride Park tomorrow.
"Paulo should have had a hat-trick against Aston Villa (in midweek) but he is not scoring," said Smith.
"But goalscorers have got to keep going in there - and he is, to be fair. So you can't let that affect your team."
