Creditors of a liquidated leisure company are holding a meeting in a bid to win back owed cash.
It is thought other companies which have not been paid by Corringham-based fitness centre Havencrest may come forward as news spreads of the meeting.
Havencrest Ltd was placed into liquidation by order of the High Court of the Isle of Man on February 22.
Alan Honey, of Benfleet-based Honey Contract Cleaners, will be holding the meeting in Stanford-le-Hope next week.
He claimed a host of companies had been forced onto the ropes by Havencrest's liquidation.
He said: "Since we discovered this, we have been trying to find out who is owed money.
"So far we have discovered around 20 companies, mainly in the south Essex area, but more are coming out of the woodwork all the time."
Mr Honey claimed Havencrest went into liquidation owing more than half a million pounds.
The meeting will be held on Friday March 19 at the Village Inn on the Green, the Green, Stanford, on Friday, starting at 6pm.
