A woman in Great Baddow has been robbed at knifepoint by a man who called at her flat.
The attack happened at about 2.45pm on Saturday at the flat in Vicarage Lane, according to an Essex Police spokesman.
The 40-year-old woman answered her door to be confronted by a man brandishing a small kitchen knife. He ran off towards the town centre with more than £100 in cash, but the woman did manage to scratch the robber's face before he escaped with the money.
He is described as white, in his 20s, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall, with dark hair. He wore glasses, a red sweatshirt, jeans, and a dark blue bomber jacket.
