Billericay Town know that helping striking star Joe Nartey regain his form may cost them dear at Aldershot on Saturday.
Nartey, attracting interest from Football League clubs early in the season, came to New Lodge on loan at a low ebb at the start of the year, short of goals and confidence.
Nartey scored four goals in three matches and made himself a big favourite with the Billericay fans - and has not looked back since returning to Aldershot.
In Shots last four Ryman League Premier Division games, Nartey has cracked home nine goals and ironically is keeping Leon Gutzmore, the man the Hampshire outfit bought from Billericay at the start of 1999, out of the team.
Billericay visit Shots tomorrow (Saturday) hoping to see their goal famine end. It is seven-and-a-half hours since they found the net.
However, they will have to make their attempt without the services of Roy Young, another striker they have had on loan from Aldershot.
Shots boss George Borg understandably, was not happy at the prospect of Young playing against his own team and he has been recalled a week before the loan officially ends.
That will almost certainly mean a recall for top scorer David Adekola, who was dropped last week after a poor spell of form, to partner new signing Steve Portway up front.
Portway is a vastly experienced front-runner who enjoyed an outstanding debut without being able to end Billericay's barren goal spell in last week's goalless draw at Boreham Wood.
Billericay will be forced to make at least one other change tomorrow as Steve Blaney, who has filled a wide role on the left to good effect in recent matches, is suspended.
Aldershot's recent great scoring run means that they are just three points behind Billericay on goal difference now with three games in hand and they will in fact overtake the New Lodge side on goal difference if they beat them tomorrow.
However, Billericay always rise to the occasion of playing in front of the huge crowds who follow Shots and manager John Kendall admits to looking forward to the match.
He said: "We're certainly not going there feeling down in any way. We murdered Boreham Wood last week and, although we couldn't score, it could have been 8-0.
"We're creating plenty of chances and that's got to be a good thing," Kendall added.
