Tributes have been paid to a young Braintree father who was tragically killed in a car accident on Tuesday evening.
Graham Stone, 34, of Goldingham Drive, was on his way to visit his parents when the accident happened in Willows Green at 8.30pm.
Police said Mr Stone's Ford Fiesta car had left the road and hit a tree.
Emergency services arrived quickly, but paramedics certified him dead at the scene.
Mr Stone was married with two young daughters. He worked as assistant manager at the McDonald's restaurant in Chelmsford High Street.
Colleagues spoke this week of their sadness.
Restaurant manager Sebastian St John said Mr Stone would be sorely missed by everyone he worked with. "We were very shocked to hear about the accident. He was a valued employee who got on well with staff and customers."
Mr Stone had worked at McDonald's for 18 months and was training to become a manager.
The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held. Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to call them on 01376 330722.
