A gruelling weekend for Runnymede Swimming Club was capped with a night of moderate success - but no wins - in the Canvey Island Open Sprint Gala.
The event, which followed immediately on from the club's own championships and the Castle Point Gala, saw 11-year-old Ben Preston contend every event in his section.
Sarah Jarratt, ten, produced a fine start to the night for Runnymede with third place in the opening event, the 100m individual medley.
Runnymede ultimately finished with 38 awards for top-six finishes.
