It was celebrations galore at a Runwell nursing home when not one, but two of its residents turned 100.
Violet Armstrong and Madge Borretts enjoyed a special day held in their honour at the Laurels in Church End Lane.
Youngsters from Talents theatre school, based in Wickford High Street, arrived to sing Happy Birthday and dance for the women.
Terry Dobson, owner of the home, said: "It was an absolutely brilliant day. About 60 people came, including Madge's son from Equador.
"Madge and Violet were presented with cakes which had a photograph of themselves and their first babies superimposed on to them."
Both have lived at the home for about five years.
Congratulations - theatre school youngsters take time out to chat to centenarians Violet Armstrong and Madge Borretts
