Andrew Smith won two golds and three silvers at the BT National Disabled Championships, in Darlington.
The 4' 4" swimmer took gold in the 100m breastroke and 25m butterfly both in new championship times
Seven of his times bettered existing world dwarf records and his exploits have earned him a call up to the Disability Sport England training squad to prepare for international competition and the Paralympics.
Smith, 14, swims for Dovedale Flyers and has had support from Colchester's Phoenix club and Chelmsford Swimming Club where he was recently voted most improved swimmer.
An all-rounder, Smith includes basketball among his hobbies.
