EAST Thurrock United manager Lee Patterson read the riot act after his side's 7-0 humiliation in the Essex Senior Cup at Thurrock on Monday and will be hoping his words bear fruit against Leyton on Saturday.
Last Saturday Rocks beat their fellow Ryman Premier League side at Rookery Hill in the FA Trophy so Patterson, who kept his players in the dressing room for a long time after the final whistle blew on his side's humiliation, will be hoping it is that the players will be inspired by that rather that the influences that saw them capitulate at Ship Lane.
Lee Burns and Stuart Williams are Patterson's only injury worries going into the game though he remains light in terms of defensive cover and may well make a attempt to bring in a new face or two for Saturday's kick-off.
