POLICE carried out stop checks this morning exactly a week after Andrea Daly was killed in an arson attack on her home.
The mum-of-two died of smoke inhalation at her house in Rochford Road, Southend, after becoming trapped in her bedroom at around 3.30am, last Thursday. Her two boys, 17 and 20, leapt to safety.
Sixteen police officers, including murder squad detectives, manned check points in Rochford Road and Manners Way between 2am and 4am this morning, stopping around 60 vehicles.
