SOUTHEND could be in line for its long-awaited marina as part of the Thames Gateway project.
Consultants have been looking at the future of the waterfront between Shoebury and Thurrock for the past 18 months and the result is due to be published shortly.
A marina, attracting upmarket boat owners, could be sited off the pier as a key part of the resort's regeneration programme.
