Adam Proudlock wants to help Ipswich Town beat Coventry tomorrow - to make up for the frustration of his home debut for the Blues.

The Midlanders were the opposition on that occasion, back in September, but marred his big night by storming back from two-down to draw 2-2.

Now the former Sheffield Wednesday man is determined to put the record straight as his new side make their first-ever trip to the Ricoh Arena.

Proudlock told the Gazette: "Making my home debut was such a big milestone and I enjoyed so much about the occasion - apart from the result.

"The players felt really frustrated after the game because we'd been two-up and, from that position, you really expect to win.

"But we let our concentration slip and that was hugely disappointing.

"We don't want any repeats and I'd love to help the side get three points tomorrow."

Proudlock joined Town after his well-documented sacking by Sheffield Wednesday.

He is on loan at Portman Road until January and said: "I'm absolutely determined to win a new, more permanent contract.

"Those two weeks between my sacking and joining the club were absolutely horrible and I don't want to be in that limbo situation again.

"Not only that, I'm loving every second of my time with Town. I dearly want to stay at Portman Road.

"It's an amazing club and everything - in terms of the facilities and set-up - is geared towards being in the Premiership."
