The Colchester United machine motors on, and those that try to stop it do so at their peril, as Blackpool found out.
With four wins out of four games, three of them on the previously troublesome home turf at Layer Road where the Us record has been far from amazing, sees Colchester within touching distance of the play-off places and in a strong position.
The Us squad continues to grow with the improved fitness of Karl Duguid, Richard Garcia, not least forgetting Marino Keith waiting to make his comeback from an ankle problem, and there is also the potential of Pat Baldwin, Garry Richards, George Elokobi and Dean Gerken all there ready to step in when required.
As a result there are smiles on the supporters faces again and the feel-good is back at Layer Road.
And raising the first cheers from the faithful on Saturday was Chris Iwelumo.
