CARERS across Basildon, Wickford and Billericay have been left angry and upset following the demise of the Crossroads charity.
The group, which provides respite care for more than 60 carers across the district, will close at the end of January after financial problems left it unable to pay its £160,000-a-year running costs.
The closure will cost six people their jobs.
If anyone can help Crossroads, call Mrs Darke on 01268 711112.
